What are the connection methods of infrared heating pipes?

The infrared heating tube is a tubular heater that utilizes the infrared principle. With the characteristics of high quality, high thermal efficiency, high power density, fast temperature rise, power saving, and long service life, it is a energy-saving heating technology rapidly developed in the 1980s. It has been listed as a national key promotion project and has achieved gratifying economic benefits.

 

1. Series connection of infrared heating tubes

Series connection is one of the basic ways to connect infrared heating tubes, connecting the heating tubes one by one. A series circuit is also referred to as a series circuit.

(1) The total voltage in a series circuit is equal to the sum of the branch voltages;

(2) The total current in a series circuit is equal to the branch current;

(3) The total resistance in a series circuit is equal to the sum of the branch resistances;

(4) In a series circuit, the total power is equal to the sum of the branch power supplies. The heating pipes are connected to the same circuit. Therefore, if a heating element in a series circuit is damaged or disconnected, the entire circuit will be disconnected, the circuit will have no current, and all electrical components will stop working.

 

2. Parallel connection of infrared heating tubes

Parallel connection is also one of the main ways to connect infrared heating tubes. Parallel connection is the connection method of connecting the head, head, and tail, which is a parallel circuit.

(1) In a parallel circuit, the total voltage is equal to the voltage of each branch;

(2) The total current in a parallel circuit is equal to the sum of the currents in each branch;

(3) In a parallel circuit, the total power is equal to the sum of the powers of each branch and is connected in the same circuit, but the two do not affect each other, and an open circuit does not affect the other.

 

3. Infrared heating pipe Y-type connection (star connection)

One connection method used in infrared heating tubes is star connection. Star connection is a connection method between three-phase AC power supply and three-phase electrical appliances, which means that the three ends of the three-phase load are connected together as a common end, forming a connection method of three fire lines.

(1) The neutral voltage of the Y-connected circuit is equal to the phase voltage * the number of elements 3;

(2) The line current in a Y-junction circuit is equal to the phase current.

 

4. Triangular connection (corner connection)

The final connection method for infrared heating tubes is the triangular connection method. The triangular connection method is to connect the power supply or load of each phase in turn, and draw each connection point as a three-phase power supply line.

(1) The neutral line voltage of a delta connected circuit is equal to the phase voltage;

(2) The neutral current of a triangular connection circuit is equal to the phase current * the number of elements 3;

 

Note: To ensure the safety of using infrared heating tubes, the following precautions should be observed:

a) Before removing or installing the infrared heating tube, please disconnect the device from the power supply.

b) It is best not to touch the quartz tube with bare hands. If grease or chemical compounds are deposited on quartz, simply clean with a cloth dampened with alcohol before igniting.

c) Do not stare at the lamp for a long time during operation.

d) Please take care not to exceed the allowable temperature indicated in the technical description.

e) Check the ignition position of the lamp tube according to the instructions in the technical document.

f) Avoid using over voltage, as this can seriously affect the service life of the lamp.

g) Place the lamp in a device specifically designed for the lamp type and rating.

h) Use fuses based on the type and current rating of the lamp.

i) Protect the lamp tube from shock and vibration even in cold weather.

j) To ensure the service life of infrared heating pipes, please protect them from the impact of pollutants such as salt, ammonia, cement dust, etc.
